Θάλασσα-Muir- The sea
Poems ranging from Homer to demotic and folk, from ancient Greek to Gaelic Irish binding the cultures of the sea, the Greek and the Irish. After George Chouliaras suggestion and invitation I went there with a new Greek friend. The concept is pioneering and overwhelming, a few props on stage, the ones needed and utilised throughout the performance, nice minimalism & pure white. The tone was jazz, low at times harsh, strong and resounding in the ear, but such is the sea, anarchic, abstract, wild & free...
