About me
“What is delighting about studying Multimedia Technology & Design in Brunel University is the ability to combine creativity – which is a vital way of self-expression and communication- with technical knowledge; that I see as the fuel of the first…the knowledge to implement, explore and realize ideas and a way to give & receive help…sharing is the passé-partout to me!”
I was born and lived in Thessaloniki,Greece for the biggest part of my life. In pursue of my dreams I moved to Dublin in Ireland to study BA in Acting at Trinity College. There I realized that “Art derives from the folk & it should aim back to the folk, rather than to the aristocracy and elitist minority”. So, the journey began…
I left the world of theatre in 2005 armed with creativity, curiosity and faith about life & experimented a lot with digital photography, internet & blogging, until I decided to apply to Brunel in 2006 in Uxbridge, UK; where I now study. I came back to my beloved Dublin to cherish my time with friends and explore my craft even more, through work placement and freelance.
Throughout this Odyssean journey, Gestalt as a philosophy & way of life has been my “beacon”! And so, you will come across it in my work as I keep researching and experimenting with its implementation in my designs.

Approach
“All the web is a stage” – A famous Shakespeare quote says “all the world is a stage” . But, as we move to a visual era, theatre is all the less popular in comparison to technology and particularly the web. The web is interactive & people share experiences through this medium.
Minimalism- “Less is more”, is clearer and hence more defined.
Gestalt- Is about form, closure, proximity, similarity & although it has mainly been used in psychotherapy, one can find that it also applies in design, has also been used for human to computer interaction and user interface design.
Usability is a necessity and W3C standards is my guiding light!
“We find that people quickly evaluate a site by visual design alone.”—Stanford Guidelines for Web Credibility, 2002- To me visual content is the King & written is the Queen…& white moves first!

Colophon- the creation of this website
let me see now… it all started with a wish, websignerswall.com gave me a plethora of inspiration and the companionship along the way; wordpress was the new challenge for me. I really loved the huge background websites just as much as I love landscape photography. So, the background picture was taken during night photography shooting in Dun Laoghaire pier, Dublin with a dear friend and collaborator at times, Saro Nadjarian.
To this point I have to pay my tribute to web designer magazine, issue 149 for providing me with a premium version of revolution elements to play with.
I have been playing and tampering with this themes graphics and css to my hearts content for the past few weeks..enough to claim the editing of this theme and its customization. I used Photoshop for the web graphics, Illustrator for the logo, the Fertigo font, by Jos Buivenga. the photos are mainly edited using Adobe Lightroom and the “poetry of code” edited with Dreamweaver & firebug (firefox addon). Airtight has enriched my photography gallery and brought it to the next level really!!
My next priority is w3c standards compliant accessible pages for everybody and a plug in for bigger text.
In the future I would like to explore the idea of delivering a random background image and a better multimedia gallery, perhaps more interactive and 3d friendly?
