Tango performance poster
Spontaneously came the need for the poster , you see the likes of the Photoshop tools are out there for the novice to use, but you can get by with a little help by your friend
ain’ it Ian?!
A really smooth and pleasant collaboration, simple prerequisites in info, like the “Dalton” head shots as I call it to mess with Ian… now, the Picture belongs to flick user: zabara_tango that we always wanted to use for a website that was decided it did not need further updates. I also found a chance to once again use my favourite Fertigo font and added Alison in the equation to match with the Bewley’s logo!
At the beginning I thought of something minimalistic such as 2 stripes coming from the sides, perhaps something with a frame, I experimented for a while on Photoshop, but soon I ended back to good old rubber and pencil (as I should in the first place really)!!
…As I looked at the image I contemplated on its geometry, parallel and converging lines. So, I thought of utilising its framing structure to both compliment and enhance the impact of the image and eventually my message. Using the simple shadow effect would give this extra 3d boost. Now the risk lied on skewed title effect and its readability. Well, I cannot be certain how effective my work has been until I receive feedback from users after all, the event is on the 7th so I will update this post- promise.
I was particularly happy creating this poster and in addition to that know I am going to have to do some video on location, soon I might include a video blog…who knows?!
